VCD Published – BONSAI
This is a short movie based on the day-to-day incidences happening in our daily life. It shows contradiction between parent’s expectations and children’s inbuilt skills and its effect on children’s healthy growth and also on parents mental health. Instead of letting child grow, parents unknowingly try to make their bonsai.
This movie was produced by MES PDC and was directed by well known sensitive Marathi director Anand Gokhale.
DVD’s were distributed for the awareness creation amongst the parents in the society.
Book Published
‘मानसशास्त्रीय समुपदेशन… मदत मनोमित्राची’
The book has 15 articles on importance of counselling in all aspects of our life, written by 14 experts in Psychology.
In all 10000 copies were printed and distributed.
This effort was appreciated by Higher Technical Education Minister Shree Rajesh Tope and Education Minister Shree Balasaheb Thorat.
Initiated joint operation of counsellors from various institutions in Pune – Amhi Saare Samupdeshak
Pune Ganapati festival and Visarjan procession is famous. MES PDC had taken initiative and due to joint efforts of other various institutions from Pune ‘Psychological Counselling Awareness Program’ was taken to the people in open forum during the Ganapati Visarjan Procession. In all 70 counsellors and 30 parents, students and employees had participated in the program. Different groups from different institutions have presented the subject (psychological counselling) with the help of various art forms e.g. – Street plays, laughter therapy, drum therapy, different hoarding and banners.
The program was telecasted live by ABP-Maza, IBN-Lokmat, SAAM Tv and was viewed and appreciated by people.
Shaurya Shibir in ‘Rani Laxmibai Girls Military Highschool’
Shaurya Adventure Sports Training Camp gets organized by Rani Laxmibai Mulinchi Sainiki Shala every year in the vacations. It is for the boys and girls of the age group of 9 to 18. Participants come from all over India for this 7 days residential camp. It includes horse riding, archery, shooting, yoga, obstacle, rowing, rope mallakhamb, trekking, rope climbing, river crossing, skating along with the sessions on personality development. These sessions are conducted by MES PDC every year and they get very popular amongst the participants and get very positive response from them.
Manasik Arogya Yatra
Considering declining mental health and increasing psychosomatic diseases, MES Personality Development Centre (MES PDC), MES Shikshan Prabodhini and MES Kridavardhini jointly have started “Manasik Arogya Yatra” for students in school, their parents and teachers in school. The program details are as below:-
- For the students of 5th std to 7th std, short film “Phoenix” is shown and then the discussion on the points based on the film.
- For the students of 8th to 10th std, a seminar on “De-addiction”
- For teachers a two days full time “Mind Management” workshop
- For all the parents of the students from 5th std to 10th std, a seminar on parent-child communication.
Telephonic counselling service
This is a joint venture with SSC Board (Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune) PDC is doing Telephonic counselling for the students appearing for 10th board exam during the month February and March every year (i.e. one month before the board exam starts and also during the exam)
This was initiated by the SSC board as there is tremendous amount of exam anxiety and stress in the students and that severely affects their performance during the exam. PDC provides the expert counsellors where students can talk to them on phone to get the help.
